Scout Stuff

Where to start? I'm so far behind that I guess I'll just start with what's first on my camera. Right now life if totally consumed with cub scouts, karate, gymnastics and other routine things such as school, homework and just trying to survive. The boys are Webelos in Cub Scouts this year and enjoy it most of the time, no matter what DJ's face says below. DJ and I (Heather) went camping with the boy scouts a few weekends ago for Webelo's Woods camp. There were about 300 people there so it was an awesome experience. We had a really good time and learned quite a bit. I am now BALOO and OLS trained if that means anything to anyone. We got rained on Saturday night and I was more than happy to come home to dry out. DJ finished most of his outdoorsman badge. Just one more campout and that will be this weekend. Here are a few pics from scouting stuff. Don't the boys just look so grown up in their official uniform? Can't believe they're almost 9 years old. There will be more pictures after we go to family camp this weekend. Just me and the 4 kids, should be an adventure. Thank goodness for good friends in the pack to help me out.

The boys decked out in their Class A uniforms for pack meeting. Aren't they so handsome?

Leading the opening for our pack meeting.

Raising the flag for Webelos Woods.

Lowering and folding the flag after Webelos Woods.

The studliest kid there by far. :o) He split the log the first shot. You should have heard the rest of our boys in our group say "Whoa" with their mouths wide open. I think he may have been the only one there who had ever even held an ax, let alone swung it. He makes me so proud.

They do look so handsome! Looks like DJ enjoyed his camp time. It's good that you got some one-on-one time(plus 300 other scouts!) with him.
