For our 11th anniversary Dan made arrangements to have my mom come down and stay with the kids while we ran away. We went to a spa for the weekend and made the trek into Fredericksberg to see what that was all about. It was crawling with people but they were having a Volkswagon convention in town that was a lot of fun. There were VW's everywhere. Every kind you can imagine, even just tarps full of parts for sale. We had a really good time.
Dan with his new truck. Looked a little out of place amongst the bugs.
Tarps full of just parts. There may have been a whole car there.
Texas bug.
Texas bug.
Trying on hats at one of the little shops in Fredericksberg. My little bo peep impression.
Chopped and lowered, probably had hydraulics...
The view from the balcony outside our room at the spa.
Dan's new look. Should have bought this one probably. Sorry that the pictures are all mixed up, it won't let me rearrange them very easily so we'll just have to deal with it. Thanks Grandma Shannon for coming down. Mostly for enduring the trip home. Her flights got juggled and rearranged and cancelled so she spent many hours in airports waiting for flights home. Thank goodness she's a good sport and eventually made it home. Now I'm excited to see what the next 11 years will bring....
